Patient Cards
Every element on a patient card and what it tells the agent before opening the patient
Each patient on the board is a card. The card is built to be read in a glance: who the patient is, how urgent they are, who holds them and whether they have written.
The Elements
Element | What it shows | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
#number | The patient's stage conversation number | The same number appears as Task Id on the Tasks tab and can be searched for |
Name | The patient's name attribute, or "No Name" | A missing name means the patient was added by phone only |
Due badge | The earliest open task's due time | Red when it has passed, showing the time if today, "Yesterday", or the date; green with the time when due today; yellow with "Tomorrow" or the date when later |
Late by / Due in | Distance to the stage's own due moment, for example "Due in 3 hours" or "Late by 2 days" | This is the stage clock from Stage Due Time, not the task's |
Stage chip | The stage the patient is in | Shown on All Tickets, In Progress and in search results, where cards of several stages mix |
Unread count | A green count of unread messages from the patient | Zero hides the chip |
Agent avatar | The initials of the assigned agent | "NA" when nobody is assigned; a robot icon for a bot; a pin badge when the patient has a sticky agent |
Source icon | The channel the patient came from | Hover for the source name |
Tags | The first tag and "+N" for the rest | Hover for the full list |
Time | The time of the last message today, or its date | Hidden in search results on the board |
New | A ribbon on a patient marked as new | Shown while the patient carries the new mark |
Hover the due badge for the exact wording: "Overdue by 2h", "Due today at 4:00 PM" or the full due date and time.
Reading Urgency
Two clocks appear on one card, and they answer different questions:
- The due badge answers "when is the next thing to do": the earliest open task. It drives the bucket.
- Due in or Late by answers "how long has this patient been in this stage relative to the stage's allowance": the stage clock.
A patient can be green on the badge and late on the stage clock: a follow-up task was scheduled for this afternoon, but the stage was meant to be finished two days ago.
What the Card Does Not Show
The task text, the instructions, the form and the notes are on the patient view (see The Patient View). The card is for triage; open the patient to act.
Cards in Search Results
When a filter is applied, cards from every stage are listed together. Each carries its stage chip and a status chip, RESOLVED or OPEN, so a resolved conversation found by number is recognisable.
Cards on the Repository
The Repository's columns use a shorter card: the number, the centre with a pin icon, the name or "No Name", the agent initials, the source icon, the first tag and the creation time. Completed cards cannot be opened there (see Manage Stages and the Repository).
